This weapons.meta file allows you to use your rifle while driving your vehicle. @DoggSumodo has brought up this idea in a topic. I've therefore decided to upload the edit I made to my own weapons.meta publicly. If you want to see how this "tactic" is being used in real life, take a look at this video
How to install the mod
Download the file from this page
Open OpenIV and navigate to mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ai
Enable edit mode and drag and drop the weapons.meta from the downloaded .rar into OpenIV
Disable edit mode and launch GTA-V
How to use the mod
To use the mod simply cycle through your guns inside of your car while having the carbine rifle in your loadout.
Optional Addons
The optional addon download contains a small adjustment to the clip size of the pistol and combat pistol. The magazine capacity now stands at 17 bullets like the Glock 17 which most players will use as their service weapon. If you don't want to use that optional addon simply skip the file labelled as (optional addons).

@Luh Steezy I could but I decided against it as the amount of weapons available in your car might become too much. You can easily add more weapons yourself. Just take a look at the pinned comment.

@Lenny1161 Since you asked ideas, it would be nice to to have ability to use sniper in the car with the zoom ability if that's possible to do. Just a quick suggestion.

@Lenny1161 awesome bro love fixes like this. There use to be a file back in the day where u could use all weapons in drive by. Not sure if it'd be compatible with all the new straps so thanks for sharing 👌

Awesome mod, and the information that you only need to change the grouping of the weapon to allow use inside the vehicle gives a great evolution in gameplay! Thanks for sharing with us.

@Lenny1161 Great mod, I noticed that when used with the Semi-Auto Carbine mod, some part of this mod overwrites the semi auto rifle. Is it possible to make these compatible through an update or editing my own files?

5mods on Discord
You can easily add my mod without replacing your current weapons.meta. To do so, open your weapons.meta, go to the guns entry you want to edit and look for the <Group> tag. Swap <Group>GROUP_RIFLE</Group> to <Group>GROUP_PISTOL</Group>.
