This is a simple script mod that allows you to drop your equipped weapon by pressing L.
This is my first mod and my first script for that matter so I can't guarantee it will work for you as it does for me but I don't see why it shouldn't.
To install just drop the scripts folder into your main GTA V directory.
Requirements:

UPDATE:
Just changed the keybind to L. Sorry I didn't realize backspace was used by all the trainers. For anyone who wants to change the keybind themselves just open the file in Notepad and change all instances of "Keys.L" to what ever you want.
UPDATE 2:
Changed it so you actually drop the weapon instead of it disappearing into the ether. That way if you drop a weapon by mistake you can walk over it to pick it up again. If you're upgrading be sure to delete the old file because I changed the file name.

What an awesome and helpful mod! It gets so annoying having to scroll through all those weapons just to get to the one you want. Especially in a car. Thanks!

Seems like it works for about 50% of users. I was not in that 50%. Didn't work :(
Looks like I'm in that 50% where mod doesn't work. But it was nice when it worked... year a go. :)
Please make it so that this mod works at night. I've noticed that time affects its activation
Or maybe because I'm using realtime V? It works in the afternoon though with that mod and without.

Could i use the Xbox controller with this mod? i mean, something like press LB and Y to drop the weapon.
this mod is awesome. but it doesn't work with pickups mod. can you fix it?
