This mod provides a fix for automatically picking up weapon pickups, health and armour pickups, with the mod installed pickups will no longer be automatically given to the player, instead when the player is near a pickup they will need to press E to pickup said pickup, works with police weapons, armour and health pickups, and mod pickups (tested with My San Andreas Weapon Pickups Mod)
install
1. download and Install scripthookv + Scripthookvdotnet
2. create a scripts folder (named scripts and not Scripts) if you havent got one already
3. drag ManualPickups.dll, ManualPickups.pdb into scripts
4. Launch game
5. go near a pickup and press E to pick it up

Sometimes the weapons still automatically get pickup is there any way to fix it?
Doesnt work for me tried in the scripts folder and in the root as well. Any solutions?
Are you able to make a "manual reload" script, the other one is broken and hasn't been updated since 2020

@HKH191 Great mod but crashed when I used option to pick up an evidence marker using DPadRight.
@HKH191 There any scripts you can make all firearm have unlimited range please, shotgun is very less range.

@HKH191 Hi there. The mod half works, it stops a lot of weapons from being picked automatically, but not all (not only mk2 weapons, just some regular SP weapons). Also, it makes it so you can't pick up jerry cans.
Could you take a look at it?
@HKH191 Can you make it so this doesn't automatically pick up the ammo for a gun you already have? So you have to still manually pickup the ammo too.
Hello, the mod is very good, I'm grateful for making this patch, but would it be possible to disable this function for Jerry Can? After all, it already has this function within the game and this means we cannot collect it when the mod is installed.
can you include the weapons.meta and pickups.meta that you are using?
really like this mod, automatically pick up any weapons is so annoying. But i got some problems, the mod works but sometimes weapons still automatically picked up (not dlc) like the pistol, pump shotgun,... and sometimes i can't pick up, the game still show help notification like "press e to pick up..." but my e key just won't do anything, its even worse when i'm in any mission that require me to pick up something, yesterday i got trouble picking up gas can in crystal maze, please fix it!
I can confirm what the user above says, love the mod and its easy to install but works in half way, still pick up vanilla weapons like pistol and shotgun, hope this get fixed somehow at least story weapons. (in my case dont care dlc ones)
