Modern phone for Michael and MP Character
Features a large screen, clear ui and high-resolution modern backgrounds and icons
Background and color theme can be changed in settings menu
Comes in black, silver and white colors
Contains instructions on how to also add your own backgrounds, which look much nicer on a large screen compared to the old phone
Editing phone UI was pretty difficult, so there may be bugs i haven't spotted, but feedback is welcome
Also, i used nve free version in the screenshots
IMPORTANT: MSAA will make the phone not load fully in third person, i am looking into it but for now you must turn it off
To install:
1. Extract the files from the compressed rar somewhere on your pc, for example on the desktop
2. Choose one of the colors (black, silver or white) and drag and drop the .oiv file into OpenIV (make sure edit mode is on)
3. Select to install in the "mods" folder, if you don't already have one it will create one
To uninstall:
Do the same but with the uninstall.oiv file instead

@loopseen- actually i think i found the problem, i think msaa is breaking it for some reason, try turning it off
@zzoko that's weird man, it doesn't look like the background is the problem, because it does load it, it looks like it's the 2d model of the phone that doesn't load properly, i just don't know why that would be happening. Do you have any other solutions other than changing the background?

@loopseen- try installing this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TMl_8tKlhn64rxh3fSw4a2_4XfKwrMDi/view?usp=sharing it will replace current backgrounds with more compressed version which might help it load, also what are your pc specs

could you release a franklin version? just to make sure the problem isn't with michael's phone model.
i5 11600KF/RTX 2060 It's a decent spec, i don't think this is a loading issue at all.
@loopseen- i don't have plans on releasing it for other characters as they all have different ui each so it would likely need to be remade from the ground up to work, regarding your problem im not sure maybe someone might know a fix in the future

@zzoko hey, i just saw your pinned comment now.. and you're right, msaa does break this mod for some reason. But unfortunately i can't play the game with MSAA OFF, it looks too shimmering, really hope you can find a way to fix this issue

@zzoko yo man, do you really plan on fixing the MSAA bug?
@loopseen- i have not found any clues on how to fix it or why it happens so for now i have stopped, i suggest you use frame scaling instead if you want to get around it it has about the same performance impact as msaa

@zzoko This would be a lot cooler if they weren't all the same phones. Like, they shouldn't tell the iPhones, the characters use different phones.

@zzoko I don't know what's going on with this mod but, I installed the "Modern Phone - Silver" oiv package and the shape of the phone shows up nicely in the game but, I modified one of the dds at the scaleform_generic.rpf ("phone_wallpaper_blueangles.ytd"), with one of my own, and for some reason, when I launched the game this piece of s*ht background image shows up on the phone > https://imgur.com/a/pqfsscr
I did find my modified image within the phone and switched to it and saved the game file but when I relaunched the game again that s*tty background image showed up again on the phone, as default background image, and that's even after I saved my game file with previous changes. How come that crappy image keeps showing up on Michael's phone as the phone's background image even after I already saved the game with my own background image?
Another thing I want to mention, I cycled thru all those "phone wallpaper" ytd images, specifically in the "scaleform_generic.rpf" archive and I could not find that specific background image anywhere. I was hoping to find that dds so I could replace it with my own but, I couldn't find that specific dds image in any of the ytd's at that path
@zzoko Well, would you be so kind as to make a modern phone for the other characters? I don't know what you could do for Trevor since Windows phones no longer exist, but maybe just give him whatever Franklin is using, he doesn't strike me as the type to use an iPhone. Or maybe he is, I don't know.
Which files replaced the online phone tho? I need to get the file path, thank you in advance! <3
