whenever you drive against the road you can clearly see other cars flashing there head lights to you.
with this script you can do the same thing
in the making of this script i had to sacrifice the "B" red button on Microsoft controllers ("xbox 360, xbox one, and razer saberbooth controllers ,etc.")
which is made for the cinematic view while driving a car
and it's been used as a hold button for the high beam lights.
also note that the low beams now must be always on day and night.
On the keyboard "G" button is used.
how to install ?
-download script hook V
http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
-unpack it into your gta v root folder
-place HighBeam Control.asi in your gta v root folder
-you are good to go :)
-how to use ?
once you get in a vehicle you will notice that the lights turn on to low beams even if at day time.
press your light switch "Right Arrow" on controllers once, to enable the script
press and hold "B" on controllers or "G" on keyboards for high beams
release to get back to low beams.
you cannot use the old functions of the headlight to keep them on(working on a fix)

note that this code doesn't work on any version before 1.0.678.1 offline, 1.33 online
it's not up to me, the base of this script is a function named set_high_beams which didn't do whats it's supposed to do until i updated to 1.0.678.1
if you don't have the latest version please update before using it, even for pirated versions it's out there, why won't you update ? :D

Nice one. Does it work with INPUT natives (so it will work with any other button I mapped for cinematic camera) or does it monitor those two specific buttons - R on a keyboard and B on a gamepad?
EDIT. From what I see in the source, seems the latter. No way to make it universal, I guess?
P.S. Is there any chance you could implement this: http://gtaforums.com/topic/702029-the-wishlist-thread/page-150#entry1068008581 ? I've been waiting for something like this since the universe was born.
@Klaceyes the indicators are very simple as they are implemented in the game, with one instruction u can enable / disable it, also it's really easy to know which head light is broken, that was my idea for the strobes, but setting it is still unknown in the dev-c native db ..
@Claude Liberty i'm really tied with the functions i'm using, such an implementation requires skills that i don't have ..
@Claude Liberty specially with taking control over the headlight button, it was only easy to do with the cinematic button since a native function exists to be used ..

This Script works fine but it disables the normal high beam control.

@Houri.S Hey, i was just thinking about that mod, didn't see that someone actually made it, is it maybe possible to associate the polices siren effect (cars moving right/left) after using the high beams flash ? we really need an angry bmw highbeam flash driver mod !!

@Houri.S ...i'm still using you lua version, so can customize the multiplier value, but there is a way for have always lights on and with fullbeam!?!?! i'm trying... but if set VEHICLE.SET_VEHICLE_LIGHTS(veh, 2) and VEHICLE.SET_VEHICLE_FULLBEAM(veh, true) after a while back to lowbeam :/ have you found a solution for have always fullbeam?!?! thanks

@Houri.S Honestly, that lights always on thing is a no go. Why don't you assign the high beams to the horn? Whenever you honk your horn, the high beams are flashing. Sounds good to me actually :P
