Welcome back to the 90s! You won't be able to see modern, stupidly technologic, turbo powered vehicles in the traffic anymore. What you are going to see is naturally aspirated, highly polluting, uncomfortable, gas guzzling vehicles. Perfect for your retro lore.
NOTICE: I couldn't prevent some emergency vehicles and lore cars (Like Franklin's Buffalo S, Michael's Obey, Freaks Mission cars) from spawning. Therefore, i recommend you to replace them with other lore friendly vehicle mods. You can check out Vanillaworks.
INSTALLATION: Replace the popgroups.ymt file in mods/update/update.rpf/x64/levels/gta5 and you are good to go.

Honestly, making a traffic mod is far more than just "lump every car that looks like it was made before 1990 in together". If you don't know what I mean, look at a freeway photo of Los Angeles in any given time period. 90% of the time you'll see cars of the era, maybe a classic or two. In the '80s you'd mostly see Malaise-era sedans and early Jap imports, maybe a Euro hatchback/sedan or two. The streets certainly wouldn't be flowing with classic muscle cars.

@alexa97 I agree with you, althought GTA had limited amount of cars when i posted this script. I didn't want people to have fun with less variety of vehicles around so i just added all which should have been "manufactured" around 80s or earlier. I can't control the rarity of vehicles though.
The script should still work. But i haven't updated it since Arena War update so variety of vehicle may be missing from your expectations. I am looking forward to give an update soon for more vehicles in traffic.
Nice mod! Can you do this but a 1940's traffic mod?
I updated this mod. All oldschool DLC vehicles should be available in traffic now depending on category. Army cars are also updated to fit 80s 90s lore. Couldn't do anything to police cars though.
@Vintage007 Hello buddy. I know it's been a while. I was quit playing this game. I would like to help you but is probably 2 or 3 cars in total in the game that is built in before 1940 so, not sure about what's going to be the point of this kind of variant.
I updated the mod but still requires admin approval for sharing
Trevor's Bodhi is based on a Kaiser Jeep M715, those were made between 1967-1969, so they're time accurate.

I appreciate your support. I have updated the mod for you (Version 1.2). Appearently, it was like 5-10 DLCs old.

Rockstar has released some sick cars since 5 years i updated this mod. I even changed police cars to retro models this time. Whole mod makes a lot more sense now.

@GeroX ignore Alex. if you see his page its just filled with complaints on a bunch of mods. anyway is there way to have a place holder for police to patrol just using the stainer?
@NOHABLOTAKATAKA If you somehow give me LCPP mod, i can check it out. Discord is banned in my country and LCPP discord server disallows me from entry when i try to enter their server with VPN. Therefore, i can't download their mod to check.
@YaBoiRandom Yeah he is not worth worrying about. He thinks Rockstar has thousands of car variations. This mod is 6 years old. There weren't that much car options back then. Now, there is a lot though.
About stainer option, i can edit the mod as the only police car in traffic is stainer, but there is already oldschool retro police cars came with last DLC. I added them in traffic and removed all modern police cars, including stainer.
Do you still want only stainer police car in traffic? If yes let me know
