Full credit goes to Katka for the original mod on steam. I simply ported this mod to GTA V. This model is from Day of Infamy, I take no credit for creating the model or textures. I did however modify already existing textures.
Description:
The L42A1 is a bolt-action sniper rifle chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. Used in the past by the British Army, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force RAF Regiment, the L42A1 entered service in 1970. It was replaced by the Accuracy International AW in 1985.
Replaces the Sniper Ritfle.
Features:
Fully animated
Working collision data
Attachment compatible I guess

Please note:
I don't have any mods that remove the scope from the sniper so I'm not sure if the iron sights line up but if I had to guess I'd say they don't.
The attachments also do work but using them would defeat the purpose of installing this mod but who am I to judge.
Animations work decently well. The bolt is satisfyingly smooth but the mag is kinda sucky.
The weapon does have minor clipping but that's it.
Installation:
Just extract the archive and place the files in
mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday8ng/dlc.rpf/x64/models/cdimages/weapons.rpf
