It works (July 2024 update) but there are some caveats: first you have to use some big numbers to get an effective result and the secondly it only affects the expansion zoom, the one you hold the button for
To turn to regular sirens, edit this line in the vehicles .meta
<audioNameHash>asea</audioNameHash>
to.
<audioNameHash>police</audioNameHash>
and install it using OpenIV
It was my first vehicle so I had to watch a YouTube video to cause it not to crash my game. You need all the files they recommend. I feel like it wasn't difficult to edit the carvariations and vehicles.meta file: the segements should fit neatly into the documents:
carvariations: you have to pace it above
</variationData>
</CVehicleModelInfoVariation>
and below
</Item>
the / before item /item closes the argument about the item above.
The vehicles.meta is very much the same process; the trick about part 2 is; it is a new section that refers to something else, the clue is
</InitDatas>
<txdRelationships>
and...
</txdRelationships>
</CVehicleModelInfo__InitDataList>
must be the last two lines.
My comment is that the sirens make no sound!? But I'm just happy for the car, Thanks dude!!
The higher the number (0 - 100) the highr the control. Breaks some the storys like a MF but clears a lot of the dead weight. Might suggest not using the pedestrian option, but a b***** when missions softlock when culling.
Pedestrian 0 - 100
Traffic 0 - 100
I had to go to multiplayer once and make a female character unless it T would be a shiny metallic color. Works like a dream, needs OpenIV to edit the game files, made a mod folder and been crystal sure I follewed it to the letter (sometimes there wasn't player_two.ymt/yft files) and finally somehow I didn't copy "Update" folder (step 9) to my Mods folder since I wasn't adding files from then on.
I can confirm it works in Oct 2019. Install to the scripts folder like it says in the readme. Also my personal grattitude to you good sir.
