@SilverFinish This actually has an element of realism to it, if you could believe it. If the two guys who did the North Hollywood Shootout weren't itching to keep warring with the cops, they totally could have escaped after the initial response because they shot at and terrified so many cops they actually created a new window of escape.
Man, it lags with a GTX 1070, but the tornado looks fucking beautiful up close. I know I said it before, but this was a year ago: You should consider adding a radio emergency alert that interrupts the music and warns of a tornado. It should be possible, as I know there is a forecast mod. Perhaps you can have the game know in advance if it will or will not spawn a tornado in an upcoming thunderstorm. Also, tornado sirens would be pretty rad.
I like what you have so far. My only qualm I have with this is if you crash into something and fall off, you cannot get back on. The things seems to flip upside down and permanently get stuck like that. The only way to fix it is to spawn a new one or find a new one. Do you think you would be able to fix it?
I would like to report a bug with this: heat vision is completely bugged.
I actually noticed it when I did the mission with Trevor in the helicopter trying to find the heat signature in the parking garage and it wouldn't let me keep it on for longer than a split second. I had to spam the "E" key rapidly to figure out where the heat signatures were, and it was frustrating. This also happens with the heat vision toggle via the menu itself. The only other problem I found was with the other visual hax where they stop working after a little while, and only work again after a restart.
I haven't found any other bugs, and all in all, I have no qualms with this mod as of yet.
You know, if you update this, I can make you an EAS-style alert for this mod and give you the sound file. You would have to figure out how to force the audio to interrupt the radio and truly be like an emergency broadcast - something I think is possible given that there is a weather forecast mod.
There should be gang strongholds, and a final shootout for when you're about to eradicate a gang. Also, listen to COD MASTER about the gang customization stuff - that would be pretty awesome.
