Transmission mode (Manual/Automatic)
All keyboard bindings
Controller sensitivity
Default throttle percentage
Cruise control minimum speed
Throttle adjustment interval
Indicator Lights
Supports multiple keybinds for simultaneous keyboard/controller support
Everything customizable
Enabled by default - can be turned off
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE A SPEEDOMETER/RPM MOD:
My personal favorite LeFix Speedometer
BONUS COMPATIBILITY:
LeFix Simple Fuel
Engine Overheat Reloaded
PRO-TIPS FOR KEYBOARD USERS:
Leave default throttle settings to 50 percent If you have a gaming mouse. Set a button for gas and another for brake in the GTA game settings, to supplement the mod's w/s while off-roading or racing for a realistic "hitting the gas, clutching and shifting the gears" feel.
Off-roading drop it into first, and use the same method above to gently crawl around and hit the throttle on the mouse when needed to hill climb or go through mud. Even going down hills if you don't brake or let the RPM drop too low, the gear will stay locked in 1st and let you simulate realistic off roading skills.(Be careful in the mountains!)
You can also lock higher gears using cruise if you wanna go zoom zoom! :)
Plays well with my other mods:

@PatientMental76 @seb997 @mriscan Now out v1.01 -- full controller/keyboard support. Toggle for auto/manual "on the fly" gearbox switching. Indicator light support.
I'LL BE RELEASING 1.0.1 SOON - If you want controller support customization for the new features -- auto/manual toggle, I need feedback on controller uses how to setup the mappings for you guys to be most user friendly. Cruise is also available on controller, but I wasn't sure how to map it without it being a problem, so I want to hear your ideas!
@RebelDragon1976
Hello and thank you for your mods.
About gamepad cruise control feature - can you look at «The Ultimate Uber» by NoeticGaming? Awesome realisation of this particular feature.
Press “Headlights” to engage cruise control and show small notification above minimap with blue-coloured letters «CRUISE CONTROL (XX)MPH» where (XX) = current locked speed (when active, second/third/etc. pressing on “Headlights” will not interfere with/disengage cruise control feature, only toggle headlights), press “Brake/Reverse” or crash into something to disengage and show small notification above minimap with red-coloured letters «CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATED» (pressing “Handbrake” or “Throttle” will not interfere with/disengage cruise control feature).
@mriscan Thank you, great feedback. I will look into this. The mechanics may have to be slightly different but the headlights mapping I can surely work with.
@RebelDragon1976
Merci for answer.
About slightly different mechanics - I just tried to clarify as much as I can and be specific about mentioned mod’s feature’s use-cases from user’s point of view. Also, maybe you will be interested in QoL feature that mentioned mod’s cruise control introduces in Off-Road-related activities.
So, I’m using handling-altering mod «Drive V». Thanks to this mod I can find myself in really difficult situations, for example, as taxi driver - dropping off passenger near Sonar Dock, as camper tourist - driving across hills or swamps and as truck driver - delivering cargo to El Burro Heights. Well, you know, vehicle not capable for Off-Road (taxi car, RV, hauler) + sand/gravel/muddy road + 45 degree hill = you guessed it right, vehicle can’t crawl uphill, not enough power/tire grip. With that mod I can speed up a little bit, 5-10MPH on flat surface (low or high speed does not matter, mod works same on any speed, 5-10MPH is just for immersion), toggle cruise control ON and it starts working on any land vehicle like AWD lowest gear ratio (or crawl ratio, if I understand right) - it just plows you through any landscape inconvenience.
Sorry for bad English, not my second language. Probably it is will be better to test it yourself to clarify lousy parts in my long-read, if you are interested of course.
@mriscan I'll check it out and you can put your native language, French I assume, if you wish. I can use a translator.
@RebelDragon1976
Glad you suggest to give it a try. As you mentioned adding different languages only for me - nah, all good, thank’s for kindness. French not my native language as well, so I prefer to use English as standard language for media/content.
Again, thank you for your mods. This particular mod AMTAC is something that GTA 5 never seen since release date. Small size, easy-to-use and key binds for controller so simple yet so handy.
And Persistence3 with correct streaming feature - oh my, as good as it sounds.
@mriscan Thank you, very kind of you and I appreciate your support!
Last thing, maybe it is a bug, maybe it is a minor incompatibility with «Drive V» mod. Can’t test it with vanilla handling, hope you will give it a glance.
Some heavy vehicles that share particular Diesel engine sound (Benson, Hauler, Phantom, Police Riot, Rubble, Utility Truck) seems revving on too high RPMs, so they “bypass gearbox mechanism” and being able to accelerate to maximum speed without switching from 1 gear to 2 and so on.
@mriscan Working as intended. Turn your throttle percentage down lower so it revs slower.
@RebelDragon1976 Thanks for adding the toggle!
@PatientMental76 My pleasure bro, was a great idea on your part.
@RebelDragon1976
Speaking of throttle adjustments, I think this feature is not working with controller or maybe my DS4-knockoff just have bad triggers. Ignore this “bug” as I see it across all manual transmission mods on my build, it is my problem, not a problem with your mod. Not tested with keyboard, so hard to say.
About last update - wonderful, cruise control is perfect. Don’t know how you did it, but it works flawlessly - babysits you in city/highway traffic and give ability to speed up/slow down and drop gear without constant need to turn it on and off. And collision detection - “chef’s kiss”, forgives a lot of mistakes.
For now I can think only about implementing ability to add modifier keys for actions as gearbox toggle, hazard lights, left/right turn signals and cruise control. Current ability to change assigned keys is really good for someone with racing sim wheel, they have a lot of spare keys. For gamepad there is literally none free keys and introducing modifier keys will be nice addition.
For example, gearbox toggle, same with hazard lights:
TransmissionToggleButton = 187 (DPad Down)
TransmissionToggleButton2 =
…will work as it is works now, press 1 button to turn function On/Off or change modes.
With modifier key assigned:
TransmissionToggleButton = 187 (DPad Down)
TransmissionToggleButton2 = 79 (Right Stick Click)
…you need to simultaneously press Right Stick and DPad Down. For hazard lights modifier key, for example, Handbrake.
For turn signals and cruise control this adds ability to assign non-intrusive for driving [X] or [Square] button as modifier button and [Tilt Right Stick] to the left/right/down as action button to turn features On/Off.
@mriscan Gotcha -- I can probably expand on this on future updates.
@mriscan FYI if you're getting too much throttle with your controller in general, change the throttle percentage down in the ini to maybe 50% and see if that helps. Adjust as needed to fit your controller and what feels comfortable to you.
@RebelDragon1976
Already tried to change “DefaultThrottle” value to 1 and “Interval” value to 10000 under [Throttle] section to see how it will work. No luck. More realistic values as 10/1000, 25/1000 works same. Can’t say why it is so in my case, needs further tests.
@mriscan ah ok, definitely related to controller triggers then. I'll look more at that for next update.
@RebelDragon1976
Yeah, cheap controller, nevermind. Maybe there is solution similar to your keyboard-related settings, that would be great.
@mriscan Technically I can probably put one in there but realistically there shouldn't be a need for a throttle control for a controller when the trigger or pedal if steering wheel should be the throttle mechanism.
@RebelDragon1976
> realistically there shouldn't be a need for a throttle control for a controller
Yep, nevermind, I should buy gamepad for higher price than literal minimum.
