WARNING: This mod does not appear to be compatible with "nightly versions" of scripthook and / or with GTAV versions higher than 1.0.3095. You may need to downgrade your game to run GTS...

I've always been a big fan of GTS Devs' "Grand Theft Space" mod which allows the player to travel through space in GTA V, having been disappointed to see updates to this mod stopped in 2017.
I then started a mod project inspired by the "Stargate SG1 / Atlantis" series. And I could see that GTS fans like MarcoSzwk had released updates improving and modifying GTS.

After analyzing how GTS worked, I learned how to create new planets, solar systems and more in the game, and more recently how to load new maps (cities, camps, bases, vehicles, pedestrians) via GTS. So, in the base mod, I've added 7 planets, a satellite, 3 cities, 6 bases, 2 SGCs (Stargate centers) and an encampment, with plenty more to come. I've also reworked and improved the base mod (teleportation positions, planet placements, fixed some bugs etc).
I've also integrated my "Stargate" mod, allowing the player to use stargates instead of navigating through space in a starship (both are possible, see below).

In the GTA V universe of the mod I created, the center of operations (SGC) and the first stargate are located on the Moon, in an autonomous base created beneath the surface.
Fort Zancudo's secret space exploration and exploitation program has been led by Colonel Larson for over 8 years.
The colonized planets are part of the Space "Federation", an international colonial state with its own government based on both Karoon and Atlantis.

Changelog : V2.00 (04/17/2025) : MAJOR UPDATE :
- addition of 3 new planets and two new solar systems (a rocky super-earth named "Effe", an ocean super-earth named "TOI-1452b" and a gaseous planet named "Jon01")
- addition of stargates on all planets, which can be used to reach planets more quickly from the Moon
- added maps, pedestrians and vehicles that load/unload automatically in-game via GTS.asi depending on the planet:
+ Atlantis City: a large autonome floating city built on the habitable planet-ocean "TOI-1452b" with an urban loft, airport, military base, skyscrapers, etc.
+ Karoon City: a city created on the island of Karoon (on a warm, humid ocean planet) with accessible interiors (apartment, office, house with swimming pool), airport, factory, etc.
+ Douglas City: a city created on the frozen surface of the planet "Douglas" with many lights, an airport, several interiors, and a festive atmosphere.
+ Eleonora City: a city under construction (soon to be updated) on the dead planet Eleonora, as well as a secluded hideaway near the stargate.
+ Lunar SGC: an underground military base dedicated to the stargate on the Moon, with residences and leisure facilities (casino, swimming pool, etc.).
+ SGC Europe: another underground military base with a stargate, but on Europa, a satellite of Jupiter. It's smaller than on the Moon, and requires some fine-tuning.
+ Martian Base: a research center on Mars that I created years ago with several interiors, also requiring adjustments (realism, etc.).
+ Project Hawking: implementation of a stargate on Hawking (p1q570), with no further modifications for the moment (hot, desert planet), will be updated soon.
+ Base on Horus: small aquatic base on Horus, Hawking's storm satellite, with interior and roof access (offices, apartment, rooms ... needs adjustment)
+ Military base on Mercury: a base with underground operations, defense systems and an interior to discover (offices, equipment, launch pad, etc.).
+ Buried base on Pluto: a small base with a stargate buried beneath the surface of Pluto, which will be updated shortly.
+ Titan Base: a "premium" exploration and living base on Titan with oxygen garden, storage, living space with views of Titan and Saturn, etc.
+ Base on Venus: a base dedicated to the exploration of an ancient extraterrestrial civilization, after the discovery of a portal in a hidden pyramid on Venus.
+ Camp on Effe: a small camp on a peaceful, newly-discovered habitable planet, covered with hills and greenery (requires adjustment).
- revision and adjustment of all spawns and space teleports to correct the bug that caused several planets and satellites (Titan etc.) to disappear in space
- fixed "holes in the ocean" bug and Los Santos lights visible from Karoon island
- bug fix for Los Santos lights visible from Douglas' icy surface
- bug fix for Los Santos lights and mountains visible from the desert surface of Hawking and other planets
- revision and adjustment of all spawns and teleports on the surface of all planets and satellites to avoid GTA V map bugs
- atmospheric adjustments (sun position, weather, surfaces and objects) on Mars, Venus, Mercury, the Moon, Titan, Douglas, and Pluto
- elimination of the Moon, which appeared at night in the skies of planets without satellites (Douglas, Effe, Hawking, Titan, etc.)
- added "GTSspawnfixer" script to fix player spawn bugs on planets when GTS is used
- added the "GTStargatefixer" script, which lets you use star gates in a "realistic" way using a transmitter (shift+S, can be modified if required)
- added the "GTStexturefixer" script to correct bugs with textures incorrectly loaded by GTS.asi. Warning, must be removed if you are mapping (will be updated soon).
- adjustment of all planet and star names created in files and in-game
- improved, faster and easier mod installation (in 5 steps)
- major readme update to optimize installation, resolve bugs, etc.
- and other details I must have forgotten!

INSTALLATION :

Very important: SAVE YOUR COMPLETE GAME on an external hard drive or similar in case of problems. The “backup” file does not take into account all mod scenarios.
1 - Download and install the “Grand Theft Space (GTS)” mod by GTS Devs, and all its dependencies (ScriptHookV, etc) - https://fr.gta5-mods.com/misc/grand-theft-space-net-gts-devs
2a - Download and install “Object Spawn Unlocker” - https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/object-spawn-unlocker
2b - Download and install “Map editor” and its dependencies - https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/map-editor-oldnapalm
3 - Download and install the autoinstall + dlclist modifications for the following four mods, but not the ObjectList.ini modifications (included in the next step 4):

4 - If you have a customized "ObjectList.ini", make a backup copy, then using OpenIV, click on Tools -> Package Installer and choose "Autoinstall GTS Another Fan Update V2.00.OIV".
5 - Now you're done! Before you start exploring, read the INSTRUCTIONS below!!! (important)

INSTRUCTIONS !!!

1 / GTS menu not recommended :
Since inserting the maps, use of the GTS menu has become unstable (game crashes, erroneous space teleports, etc). This is due to the fact that GTS.asi does not necessarily unload previous maps before loading subsequent ones. It is therefore strongly recommended not to use this menu to teleport to different planets.
You can use it as a last resort (bug, blockage, etc), but avoid teleporting twice in a row to very dense worlds (such as Atlantis, Karoon, Douglas, etc).

2 / SHIFT+S to activate/deactivate the stargate transmitter :
If you wish to use a stargate of any kind, you'll need to press shift+S to activate the transmitter and avoid instant death, bugs, spawn in vehicles when teleporting. Don't use vehicles to pass through stargates and/or when the transmitter is active, and don't forget to deactivate the transmitter as soon as you no longer wish to pass through stargates and/or if you want to control a vehicle. If you want to change hotkey, open GTStargatefixer.cs in Scripts folder, search "if (e.KeyCode == Keys.S && shiftHeld)" dans change "S" by any other key you want.

3 / Don't move during GTS loading times :
Whether through the stargate or in flight, when you reach a planet, it may take a few minutes at first to load the maps for each planet. During this time, you'll notice some graphical bugs (the vehicle falling into infinity, or into the upper atmosphere). This is normal. I'm working on a fix, but the loading time is impossible to reduce. But BE CAREFUL, during loading, DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTROLS until you see a message indicating that the planet is loaded. Doing so may kill the player or teleport you into inappropriate areas.

4 / Short display distance (for now) :
Displaying in-game maps can be slow because GTS has a short display distance, and objects (skyscrapers, lights, etc) may not appear until the last moment. I'm working on a solution to this problem.

5 / Using "GTStexturefixer.cs" :
If you wish to make maps with stunt objects with Menyoo or Map Editor outside GTA Space, you'll need to temporarily remove the "GTStexturefixer.cs" file from the Scripts folder and restart the game, then reinsert it once finished to avoid conflict with your maps (only the one currently being created). "GTStexturefixer.cs" is used to change the color of some stunt object that GTS.asi is not able to change.

6 / Use 3rd person view for TP + Stargates :
If you pass through stargates or use teleporters in 1st-person view, for some unknown reason, the time and weather of the next planet may get stuck on the previous planet, causing display bugs on the Moon, Europa, Pluto and Mars in particular. It is therefore advisable to switch to 3rd person during these phases.

Now that you know all that, you can travel through space in GTA V !




A lot of work has gone into this mod, and although some bugs may still be present, new extensions and fixes are already in the pipeline. Please respect the work we've done.
This is a personal project created out of passion. You use it at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for any bugs, save corruptions or other problems that may occur in your game. Always remember to make backups before installing a mod.

If you encounter any bugs related to the in-game mod, please feel free to mention them in the comments for correction.



Bugs found:
- on Mars and Europa, the textures in the scientific research center flicker, becoming transparent (fix in progress). Change planet and return to Mars or Europa to solve this problem.
- on Mars and Europa, the collisions in the scientific research center may not load fast enough, causing the player to fall into the void (fix in progress).
- game crashes if you reload the same planet twice in succession in the menu, or if you load large maps in succession (e.g. Karoon and Douglas)
- if you stay in first-person view by using the star gate or a teleporter, weather and time may not load correctly
- if you use a vehicle on Pluto before taking the stargate to Atlantis, you risk being teleported into the air or into the ocean next to Atlantis (fix in progress)
- player spawn bugs are possible when using the stargate (fix in progress)
- possible game crash on planets Karoon, Atlantis, Douglas and the Moon if you load other personal maps (Menyoo or Map Editor) while using GTS
